Britt-Marie and Sven Olsson are some of Sweden's most engaging and popular dance instructors. They are among the leading authorities on Värmland dance. Excellent natural dancers, they can show the energetic, quick and accurate style called for in the dynamic Värmland dances.
They attended musik vid Siljan and loved the music and how people danced. They began studying gammaldans in 1977 and continued with polska dancing from 1980. They have since the middle of the 1980s taught gammaldans and polska. Both were born, raised and still live in Säffle, Värmland and they both received the big Silver in polska dance in 1989. 
In the beginning they taught primarily dances from Värmland, but now work with all kinds of polska. When asked about the group they dance with now, their response was that the group is like a dance party, with some teaching!
In 1995 Sven joined the committee of the Uppdansning as a deputy for Bo Peterzon. He has been a permanent member/judge since 2003. During the years they have had a good cooperation with different dance researchers. Britt-Marie and Sven have made and continue to make big contributions to spread Swedish dances all over the world, including the Nordic countries, the Netherlands, England and Japan.
