Sissel Rudningen was the "A" class champion at Landskappleiken 2007 and has been dancing and singing since she was a youth. She was fortunate to meet and dance with all the tradition bearers in the district. Sissel leads the Hemsedal Barneleikaring, teaches second grade, dances and sings, while raising two lovely children with her husband Gunnar.

Bjørn Lien is an "A" class dancer and an esteemed judge at many Kappleiks (dance competitions). He began dancing at age 23, learning on the dance floor in the tradition of the 'masters.' Between dancing and organizing events, Bjørn works on his dairy and forestry-based farm in Flå, Hallingdal.

Hilde Kirkebøen is an "A" class Hardanger fiddler and great teacher who began fiddling when she was 10. She studied with the great master Jens Myro. Currently Hilde lives in Oslo, where she works in social education. She plays for dances, weddings, funerals, in concerts and teaches hardingfele.

Britt-Marie and Sven Olsson are among the leading authorities on Värmland dance. They are excellent, engaging, natural dancers and teachers who received their big silver medals in 1989. Sven sits on the medal testing jury. Sven and Britt-Marie have both been teaching dance since the mid 1980s.

Ann-Marie Forsberg has been involved with the music & dance research and documentation in Värmland. She is an assisting director at the Musikhögskola Ingesund, a music department of Karlstad University in Arvika, Värmland where she was hired to teach folk music. Additionally she leads Jössehäringarnas folkdansare and spelmän in Arvika.

Gert Ohlsson is a Riksspelman on both fiddle and Nyckelharpa and since 1980 has been a judge for that jury. Founder and for 30 years leader of Ransätersstämman, Gert teaches, performs and composes music as well as lecturing on a variety of folk music and dance topics. He was involved in researching and documenting the music and dance of Värmland with Ann-Marie.
