Mattias Helje - springlek monster!Mattias has been playing the music of Western Dalarna since his teens. Early on he learned the tunes of Kalle Almlöf and has since developed his own fiddle style that has made him a very popular dance fiddler. His airy, danceable fiddling is characterized by a playfulness, a joy and a drive that can inspire even the most tired dancing feet. He has his roots in Heden, Lima, where he also lives and works as a folkarts blacksmith. In 1996, Matthias became Rikspelman for the richly traditional and lively playing of tunes from Lima. The music of Eastern Norway is also a great inspiration.
